ABOUT THE INSTITUTE
The Institute for Soul-Centered Psychology and Coaching™ was founded in 2020 by Transpersonal Soul-Centered Coach, Dr. Bonnie Bright, in response to the challenges created by the global COVID-19 pandemic and its after effects; the ongoing and growing disintegration of social structures around the globe; and the significant increase in numbers of individuals suffering from stress, anxiety, and depression.
Multiple elements contribute to the malaise, including the climate and environmental crisis; racial and social tensions; conflict and violence; and unconscious, unexamined trauma—both individual and collective. Each of these issues points to a profound expression in our culture of what shamanic societies might refer to as “soul loss.”
The Institute for Soul-Centered Psychology and Coaching™ offers education, training, certification, and coaching/mentoring services to those who feel called to explore the unconscious, find deeper meaning in life, and to live into their gifts in a soulful and creative way.
OUR VISION
To aid and inspire those who wish to deepen into their exploration of the inner world of soul in order to find more meaning and connection in life, or help others do the same.
OUR MISSION
To create and deliver programs, tools, and training for those who seek to understand and explore how the unconscious and the invisible world can create transformation and enable us to live into our full potentiality.
ABOUT SOUL-CENTERED COACHING
Soul-Centered Coaching Psychology is based on tenets of Depth Psychology, founded in large part by Sigmund Freud and Swiss psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung in the early 20th century; on Transpersonal Psychology which emerged in the late 1960s, founded by Stanislav Grof, Abraham Maslow, and others; and on Archetypal Psychology, created by contemporary Jungian, James Hillman (d. 2011).
Soul-Centered coaching seeks to help individuals reconnect with their authentic self, overcome programming that no longer serves, and uncover their gifts and calling in this lifetime. Soul-Centered coaching is a term adopted by Dr. Bonnie Bright, Institute Founder, early in her practice to describe the process of guiding and mentoring anyone who is looking for personal transformation by engaging somatic, symbolic, and shamanic approaches.
